Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-02

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Talivio seismic risk forecasting platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Talivio provides machine-learning-based seismic risk probability forecasts. The Service combines statistical models, geophysical data, and historical earthquake catalogs to produce risk scores. These forecasts are probabilistic in nature and do not constitute deterministic earthquake predictions.

3. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Earthquake prediction is inherently uncertain. Risk scores represent statistical probabilities based on historical patterns and physical models — they do not guarantee the occurrence or non-occurrence of seismic events. Talivio, its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service or reliance on its forecasts.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or algorithms of the Service
  • Use the Service to create a competing product or service
  • Exceed API rate limits or attempt to overload the Service infrastructure
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense data or reports without written authorization
  • Use forecasts as the sole basis for emergency evacuations or life-safety decisions without independent verification

5. Intellectual Property

All models, algorithms, feature engineering pipelines, training data derivatives, and visual assets are the exclusive property of Talivio. The methodology documentation is provided for transparency and scientific credibility; it does not constitute a license to replicate the system.

6. API & Reports

Paid API keys and reports are subject to the pricing and usage limits at the time of purchase. API keys are non-transferable. Reports are licensed for internal use by the purchasing entity. Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if the report has not been downloaded.

7. Data Sources

The Service integrates data from public seismological agencies including USGS, AFAD, ISC, and the NGL GNSS network. These data sources are governed by their respective terms. Talivio does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data.

8. Changes to Terms

Talivio reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service interface.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.

10. Contact
